Framing for Megan

November 2, 2015

Megan   Baessler Homes would like to introduce you to a very special little girl, Megan Hoover. Megan is a nine-year old girl diagnosed with a rare form of Leukodystrophy called Alexander Disease.  Leudodystrophy is not a single condition but a group of conditions that mainly affect the white (leuko) matter of the brain and spinal cord.  Leukodystrophies are usually progressive conditions which can cause loss of normal brain functions.  There is no cure. For additional information go to www.ulf.org. In 2014, Megan fell down at school because of weakness in her legs that progressed very quickly and within 6 months Megan became 100% reliant on a wheelchair. She was diagnosed with Alexander Disease after many months of testing and surgeries. https://vimeo.com/131391130 The adjustment to the Hoover lives has been significant and includes wheelchair accommodating vehicles and a handicap accessible home. The family is in the process of adding an addition to their home for Megan which will include a bedroom, fully accessible bathroom and living area. Saturday Oct 31, Baessler Homes was proud to volunteer to frame the beautiful new addition for Megan’s family. The team made quick work of the framing job and had the walls and roof up before the end of the day. Megan 6 Megan was there to supervise the progress and was excited to be a part of the team. Our townhouse was more than just four walls; it was the backdrop of some of our most cherished life moments. It was where we celebrated our engagement, welcomed our first child, and built enough equity to take the exciting leap into a new Baessler home. Annie assisted us with purchasing our home in Ault and we knew we were in good hands when we learned she was handling the Liberty Draw neighborhood also. Her intuitive matchmaking skills helped us navigate our sale with ease. When we expressed interest in Liberty Draw, she knew a couple who was eager for a townhouse in Ault. Thanks to her connection, we sold our townhouse off-market and moved into our second Baessler home sooner than expected. Our new home in Liberty Draw is a fantastic next chapter, and we’re excited to see our neighborhood flourish. Here’s to many more years of creating lasting memories with our neighbors in this amazing community.
