7 Fun Things To Do Around NoCo This Summer!

With summer in full swing we have put together a list of 7 fun things to do around Northern Colorado!


1. Greeley Stampede – The Greeley Stampede celebrates 100 years this year! A fun event for the entire family; with carnival rides, a petting zoo, beer garden,  yummy fried fair food, and one of the biggest rodeos in the country! The event is held at the Island Grove Regional Park at 501 N 14th Ave. in Greeley from June 23rd – July 4th visit here for more information & tickets!

2. Greeley’s Friday Fest – Looking for some fun on a Friday evening? Check out Downtown Greeley’s Friday Fest!  Every Friday this summer through September 16th you can enjoy a go-cup margarita from The Rio Grande restaurant & walk down the block enjoying some live music & entertainment! The festivities are from 6-10pm – music starts at 6:30. Do not miss out on this fun time this summer! Located on 9th street Plaza, Downtown Greeley.

3. Visit a local brewery/patio – There are tons of local breweries all over Northern Colorado! The best part about visiting a brewery in the summertime has got to be being able to sit on the patio & enjoy your beverage! WeldWerks in Greeley has a great patio with board games & recently added food items available. A classic, O’Dells Brewery in Fort Collins is known for their beautiful patio & striking mountain views! If you are more into wine, you have got to try Sweetheart Winery in Loveland. Be one with nature on their patio with the Big Thompson River running nearby.

4. Hike Devil’s backbone nature trail – If you are looking to get some steps in this summer check out Devil’s Backbone Nature Trail on the west side of Loveland. With awesome views & 17.25 miles of trails that connect to neighboring open spaces, you are bound to find some views.  Make sure to bring some H20 & sunscreen!  Trail head located at 1725 Hidden Valley Dr. Loveland, CO 80538

5. Rent a paddle board/ Hydro Bike Horsetooth Reservoir - Are you ready to cool off a little? Horsetooth Reservoir nestled in the foothills of western Ft. Collins offers the perfect activities to do just that! Rent a paddle board or Hydro Bike for just $25/hour at Inlet Bay Marina or chill out on the swim beach. https://www.inletbaymarina.com/

6. Tube/raft the Poudre River – Summer is not just about relaxing in the sun, get a boost of adrenaline & hit some class IV rapids rafting the Cache La Poudre! There are multiple white water rafting companies in Ft. Collins that will provide everything you need to have a safe, fun adventure for your whole family.

7. See a movie under the stars at Holiday Twin Drive-In Theater – Last but not least, a double feature at the historic Holiday Twin Drive-In Theater in Fort Collins. Great idea for date night or take the kiddos out to experience what it felt like to watch a movie back in time! Snacks & drinks for sale and 2 movies for the price of one.
