Baessler Homes and Hartford Homes Announce Plans to Merge, Creating Baessler Hartford Homes
Two longtime Northern Colorado homebuilders are coming together to build a stronger future for the communities they call home.
GREELEY & TIMNATH, CO — October 7, 2026 — Baessler Homes and Hartford Homes, two longtime Northern Colorado homebuilders, today announced plans to merge and operate as Baessler Hartford Homes, bringing together decades of local experience, complementary strengths and a shared commitment to the communities they serve.
The planned merger is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, pending final legal and regulatory requirements.
For homeowners, homebuyers, Realtors, trade partners and community partners, it will remain business as usual throughout the transition. Existing home purchases, warranties and customer relationships will continue to be supported as they are today. Any changes to contact information, customer processes or other services will be communicated well in advance.
Until the merger is completed, Baessler Homes and Hartford Homes will continue operating as separate organizations.
Two local builders. One shared future.
Two Northern Colorado Homebuilders. Decades of Local Experience.
The planned combination brings together two companies with deep roots in Northern Colorado.
Founded in 1988, Hartford Homes has developed more than 40 communities and built more than 5,200 homes throughout the region. Baessler Homes, founded in 1968, has built more than 4,500 homes and has established a longstanding commitment to building homes and giving back throughout Northern Colorado.
Together, the companies bring more than a century of combined experience and a deep understanding of the people, places and opportunities that make Northern Colorado home.
Baessler Hartford Homes will continue serving homebuyers and communities throughout Greeley, Fort Collins, Windsor, Timnath, Loveland, Johnstown, Hudson, Ault, Fort Lupton and surrounding areas.
By bringing together the teams, experience and resources of both organizations, the new company will be positioned to serve Northern Colorado homebuyers while continuing to invest in the communities where its team members live and work.
“Our companies have spent decades building in the same communities,” said Jamie Baessler, CEO of Baessler Homes. “This is an opportunity to bring those strengths together and build something designed for the long term — for our team members, our homeowners, our trade partners and the communities we call home.”
Landon Hoover, CEO of Hartford Homes, added:
“Hartford Homes has been fortunate to be part of Northern Colorado for nearly four decades. We’ve built more than homes — we’ve built relationships, communities and a deep understanding of what makes this region special.”
Building More Than Homes
The planned merger is about more than combining two homebuilders. It is about bringing together two organizations with a shared vision for creating lasting value throughout Northern Colorado.
Baessler Hartford Homes will be guided by three points of value:
Great Places
Create communities that people can attain, are proud to call home, and that make life better to live, work and grow within them.
Great Relationships
Build lasting relationships with team members, trade partners, homeowners, Realtors, municipalities and the broader communities the company serves.
Great Finance
Build a financially strong and sustainable organization capable of making thoughtful, long-term investments in its people, communities and future.
Together, these principles will guide how Baessler Hartford Homes approaches not only homebuilding, but the entire homebuying experience.
A Stronger Northern Colorado Homebuilder, Built Around People
One of the most meaningful aspects of the planned merger will be bringing together the people behind both organizations.
Baessler Homes is currently a 100% employee-owned company, and following the merger, Baessler Hartford Homes will be 100% employee-owned.
Employee ownership gives team members a meaningful stake in the future of the organization and the communities they help create. It also reflects an important part of what makes both organizations local: the people who build, sell, support and care for the homes and communities are invested in their success.
While the combined company will have greater resources and capabilities, the goal is to retain what has always mattered about being a local homebuilder: knowing the communities, knowing the people and caring about the work.
