Tips + Tricks for Designing a Nursery

June 25, 2020

Have you been dreaming of the perfect nursery for your little one? We've gathered up some of our favorite tips + tricks so that you can easily create the room of your dreams!

Don't wait until the last minute to decorate

Life is busy, especially when you have a baby on the way! Be sure to get a head start on your nursery project early so that you don't feel rushed towards the end. This gives you plenty of time to thoughtfully think about how you want to decorate the space and get ready for that new little bundle of joy!

Get Inspired

Not quite sure where to begin? Take a look at Pinterest for inspiration - you're bound to find ideas that you LOVE. To check out some of our favorite nursery looks, click here.

Choose furniture that you love but that is also functional

Shopping for nursery furniture can be one of the best parts of the design process. Make sure to look for furniture that both goes with your design but also provides extra storage. We promise you'll thank yourself later!

Decide on a basic color scheme

Don't overthink your color scheme - keep it simple. We love using neutral colors so that you can add patterns, pops of color, and other accent pieces elsewhere in the space. This also makes it easier to change the space as your little one grows!

Storage + Organization is key

You can never have enough storage - blankets, clothes, burp cloths and diapers take up more room than you might think. Having enough storage and finding the best way to organize those items will be a lifesaver later on.

Everyone we met and interacted with were extremely friendly and accommodating for us. Jamie and Billy have gone above and beyond to ensure we had a positive home buying experience since we were first time homebuyers.
